Administrative Message #700 - Personal Note - Please read

February 8, 2018

During the upcoming days and weeks, please be patient with me and my response time. I am the youngest child and closest to my mother. She has been having mental lapses, confusion, etc for the last year. She had refused to see a doctor up until this week. The mental issues escalated significantly since the beginning of this month.

I don't want to get into too many details, however the process of getting her a diagnosis has begun. She has been to two ERs this week, once by choice and once not. They believe she has early onset or has entered dementia.

My mother has been my rock for my entire life. I consider her one of my best friends, not just a parent. This last year has had some difficult times, however none as difficult as this past week or last night. Last night she was physically there, however her mind seemed to be far in the past during a dark period of her childhood.

If I take a long time to respond to message or process ads, please know that I am dealing with something that is heartbreaking. I am not doing a runner. This August will mark 12 years of my owning a PTR site. I wouldn't want to sully my name online or personally or professionally in the outside world.

I will do my absolute best to keep up with the sites while we figure this out. I recall seeing on a TV show recently the phrase New Normal. I will have to figure out what that will look like for myself and my mother once she is receiving the help she needs.
